2012 Kingdom of gold Mark Mark Knopfler Mark Knopfler «Kingdom of gold» "Le royaume de l'Or" est une chanson de l'album «Privateering» de Mark Knopfler, qui stigmatise les «conneries» des puissances de l'argent, lesquelles finissent par provoquer des crises mondiales, dont nous sommes, toujours, tous victimes.
La chanson Kingdom of Gold apparaît sur le septième album solo de Mark Knopfler, le double CD «Privateering» (sorti en 2012).
La chanson de Mark Knopfler est dans la grande tradition d'une ballade celtique; la beauté de la mélodie et l'instrumentation celtique est en contraste avec la violence et la destruction dépeinte dans les paroles.
Malgré la hantise celtique de la guitare et de l'instrumentation du violon, de la flute, de l'accordéon et les bourdonnements et les sifflets de «Kingdom of Gold» sont un réquisitoire accablant contre les maîtres du capitalisme d'entreprise.
Mark Knopfler les appelle «les grands prêtres de l'argent» «Les dieux du commerce » et « les raiders turbulents » achetés et vendus qui, au nom du profit ont le pouvoir de piller et détruire du haut de leurs tours .
Les paroles de Knopfler utilisent l'analogie de l'armement des chiens et des corbeaux, des haches, des flèches, des pillages et des camps brûlants pour évoquer la terreur et la dévastation causé par ces seigneurs du capitalisme d'entreprise. Comme Mark Knopfler voit ces «dieux du commerce d'entreprise» déployer de nouveaux symboles, de nouvelles armes- ce qu'il appelle «rubans du nombres» ou «des cercles d'initiés dans la mystique d'entreprise».
Mais la destruction qu'ils laissent dans leur sillage est le récit central qui sous-tend la chanson remarquable de Knopfler, qui pour moi est la meilleure piste sur ce qui est sans doute son meilleur album solo.

1973 Discographie de Mark Knopfler Mark Mark Knopfler Mark Knopfler A-G H-L M-S T-Z Albums Interviews Concerts Discographie La discographie de Mark Knopfler se compose d'enregistrements du chanteur-compositeur-interprète britannique Mark Knopfler, sans compter son travail avec Dire Straits. Knopfler a commencé à enregistrer en dehors de Dire Straits en 1983, quand il a sorti son premier album de bande sonore Local Hero. Cette même année il a produit son premier album, Infidels pour Bob Dylan. Entre 1983 et 2002, Knopfler a composé et sorti huit albums de bandes sonores. 1991 On Every Street Mark Mark Knopfler Mark Knopfler Dire Straits «On Every Street» est une chanson tirée du sixième et dernier album studio enregistré par le groupe de Rock Anglais «Dire Straits». L'album est sorti le 10 Septembre 1991 par Vertigo records au niveau international, et par Warner Bros. Records aux États-Unis.
Il y a cinq ans, Dire Straits menaçait de devenir le plus grand groupe dans le monde.
Quand Mark Knopfler enleva son bandeau, posa sa guitare et a sorti hors «de l'argent pour rien, poussins pour être libre».
Après une interruption prolongée, Knopfler a fait un album qui se situe quelque part entre une réinvention radicale de Dire Straits et la prochaine étape sur un continuum allant de la méga-platine de « Brothers in Arms», sorti en 1985.
Alors que "Heavy Fuel," sardonique, mais assez witless , va probablement devenir un levé-poing, frat-boy hymne dans le "Money for Nothing" moule, la plupart du reste délaisse cabotinage lourds-riffs de guitare héros pour les marques les plus matures de la musique d'ambiance.
A la manière de «Notting Hillbillies» l'an dernier et d'autres projets parallèles de Knopfler, «On Every Street» explore l'affinité de Knopfler avec Nashville en particulier et avec une version idéalisée du Sud musicale en général, avec lecteur d'acier de session Paul Franklin émergents comme sa grande feuille musicale.

Bien que le matériau plus économique offre les grands plaisirs musicaux, quelques-uns des morceaux plus longs semblent comme de simples exercices de style: Le titre de la chanson et "Vous et votre ami" servent principalement comme des excuses pour le jeu instrumental de leurs fondus étendus. 2011 Dans les prisons de Nantes - Brest Nolwenn Nolwenn Leroy «Dans les prisons de Nantes» est une chanson présentant un récit amoureux entre un prisonnier et la fille du geôlier qui l’aide à s’évader d'une prison de Nantes. Elle est populaire en France et à l'étranger comme au Canada. Des artistes francophones l’ont mise à leur répertoire comme Édith Piaf, Édith Butler, Aristide Bruant, Les Compagnons de la chanson, Nana Mouskouri, Colette Renard, le groupe nantais Tri Yann ou encore Nolwenn Leroy.
Brest est le deuxième single de l'album 1964 de Miossec, paru en 2004, ainsi que sur la compilation Brest of (Tout ça pour ça) parue en 2007. Au-delà de son attachement exprimé par Miossec envers la ville de Brest, la chanson retrace le bouleversement que provoque le déracinement.La chanson est écrite par le chanteur en hommage à sa ville natale, son port d'attache. Exilé depuis les années 1980 dans diverses villes, à Bruxelles, la Réunion, en Provence, il revient jouer un jour dans la ville chère à son cœur, chanter Recouvrance. La presse locale lui reproche son infidélité, ce qui est pour l'artiste Brestois incompréhensible : « À Brest, s'il y a un port, c'est pour partir... ».
Le texte poétique reprend en refrain l'expression tonnerre de Brest, liée aux coup de canon tirés chaque jour par l'arsenal. Le thème est nostalgique du fait qu'il se remémore des souvenirs d'enfance et de jeunesse. Il cite également différents lieux notables de Brest : la rade de Brest, le port, la rue de Siam, l'avenue Jean Jaurès et le quartier de Recouvrance. La douce mélodie des couplets devient rock au moment du refrain.
