«Golden Heart» est le premier album solo de Mark Knopfler, sorti en 1996. Il se distingue des derniers albums de Dire Straits (groupe dont Mark Knopfler était le leader), par un climat plus calme dans l'ensemble, et un plus grand nombre de ballades.
Golden Heart est le premier album studio en solo par le chanteur-compositeur-interprète et guitariste britannique Mark Knopfler, publié le 26 Mars 1996 par Vertigo records international et Warner Bros. Records aux États-Unis. Après une carrière réussie leader du groupe de rock britannique «Dire Straits» , Mark Knopfler a produit son premier album solo, en sélectionnant dans les divers projets musicaux sur lesquels il s'est engagé depuis sa sortie comme un artiste d'enregistrement majeur en 1978. l'album atteint le top dix positions en Autriche, Belgique, Finlande, Italie, Pays-Bas, la Norvège, la Suède, la Suisse et le Royaume-Uni. l'album a culminé à 105 sur le Billboard 200 aux Etats-Unis.
